I am a practicing dentist in Matamata since 2004. A Malaysian by nationality, I am married to Santhy and have 2 sons. It was in 2015 that a patient of mine asked me to consider joining Rotary Matamata.
Mike Farrell spoke to me about the club, it's goals and activities. I seized on the opportunity and it has it opened up a whole new world to me. I have made many friends who are like-minded in wanting to serve the community they live in. Rotary provides a structured, well networked and organised way to reach out to the wider world.
My fellow club members inspire me as they are dedicated to causes they champion. I have learnt how fifty organised people can send relief after disasters, plant trees, sponsor exchange students, fight to end polio, help adolescent girls attend school with dignity and a hundred other things big and small.
I am proud to be a Rotarian and particularly proud of my club.
