Robert announced that since members and others had helped with the Hafling Half Marathon at Hobbiton, Russell Alexander has now donated $1800.00 to the club. Brilliant!

Miranda advised that due to low numbers, we will not be selling cupcakes for Red Nose Day BUT... has come up with a brilliant idea to raise some funds for the appeal with everyone asked to WEAR RED next week and bring along some money for a mini auction.

David Hulme is asking for helpers 9am this Saturday at The Boltholder to chop up pallets for kindling to be given away to those in need.

Parting Thought

In todays world, life is like looking for your phone. Most of the time it is in your own hands.
Thanks Graeme Guilford.

Hey team

Hope you are all having a great week ðŸ˜Š

President Alice opened the meeting with a brief rundown of how this year she would like to showcase to us some of the different clubs from around the world and the work that they do. Great idea Alice!

This week we were given a peek into the workings of the Couer d Alene Sunrise Club of Idaho USA. A 62 member club who are very supportive of projects which focus on women and children. They have built a preschool in South Africa and have been involved in the Survival Gardens Project in South Africa delivering over 1000 kits with the basic requirements to start a garden and empowering women to be self sufficient. Loads of other things as well and it will be great to see what other clubs throughout the world are doing over the coming year. We might get some great ideas that we can use.

The 2nd part of our AGM went well, so thanks to all who were able to attend. President Robert and Directors delivered their final reports for the year which were well received.

Great speaker next week - Sofia Shing (David Wheadon's Granddaughter) on her time at Georgia University USA on a Tennis Scholarship.

Special thanks to David Hulme for shouting us all for his birthday.
