The annual Matamata Brass Festival of Music is on the weekend of 24-25th May at the Matamata Intermediate school, volunteers are needed. For the newer members if you haven't been, this is well worth attending. See David W if you can assist.

Amongst the hilarity a chance conversation between Maz and Job, resulted in an invitation to see a play with Job and Dora the following night... "Voices from Gallipoli", performed by Mark Wright. It left us extremely moved and emotional.

Jane & I (aka Thelma & Louise) spent the past week in Wellington, attended the dawn parade and continuing on with the theme, visited the Gallipoli exhibition at Te Papa (for a 2nd time) and on way home stopped at the National Army museum in Waiouru.
