Happy December Team Rotary
Must say its good to be back. I had a bit of an enforced Covid holiday with our entire staff getting Covid at the same time, so we had to close shop for a week. Certainly not ideal for us at this time of year. So we are now running to get everything done before Christmas, so if you see me looking a little ragged, just give me a prod and a shake and I'll just keep on going.
A special thank you to Stew in helping me out and delivering a fantastic newsletter. Think I need to ask him for a few tips.
Don't forget that next week, 13th December, is our last meeting of the year. We will be having a secret Santa, so if you would like to participate, please bring along a $10.00 gift and if you're bringing a guest, a gift for them as well and don't forget - if you don't bring a gift, you cant get one !
Fantastic effort by Maz and the team to put together a float for the Santa Parade. It looked awesome and great to have that Rotary visual out there. Awesome to see the Interactors taking part as well. A great team effort.
Well done!!!
Great fellowship and fun was also had by all of those who were able to come to the Christmas function held at the Matamata Golf Clubrooms. It was a great turnout with a little bit of competitive "putting" prior to dinner, with Peter Vossen reigning supreme with his technique to get closest to the $50.00 note and then kindly donating his winnings to the Food Bank. Well done Peter.
Some very happy spectators soaking up the atmosphere, and below, a great turnout.
