Michelle not only welcomed our Rotary Youth Exchange student Daniella, Grace Kingston, Nancy Sayer plus our regular guests from the UK, Mike and Janette Graves to our BBQ meeting at Peter and Ineke Thissens. Our Concert venue on the 19th of February.
Michelle explained our new meeting venue, at present there is no audio availability. But that can be sorted if required. See how we go at St John, Rob should be able to cater for our meal from the small kitchen. Our ground floor meeting room is accessed off the car park. We will have the sign out. So bear with us till we get things sorted.

Daniella Navarrete, Rotary Youth Exchange student from Santo Domingo, Chile. Straight into the Kiwi way of life !!! Arrived fit and well after a long flight ,the very morning of our Rotary Club BBQ at our Concert by the lake venue.

  • Peter Thissen has started to have members involved in clearing the lake weed.
  • Rotary Matamata meeting will now be on the ground floor of St John Ambulance building. Michelle indicated that if we find this new venue unsatisfactory, then Directors will look elsewhere.
  • Good BBQ at the Concert venue, everyone has an idea what has to be done.
  • Concert coordinating committee will now meet after every Rotary meeting.
  • There will be a major set up working bee on Saturday 11th February.
  • Committee meetings back to normal, as we enter into February 2017. January seems to have just flown bye.

  • Major working bee at the concert venue, Saturday 11th February. More info nearer the time as to what minimum gear that will be required for the jobs to accomplished, and of course start time and whatnot. Some members who know they cannot make it , are making arrangements to put some time in for Concert grounds preparation.
  • St John Building will be our Rotary meeting Venue from next Tuesday 7th February. Enter through ground floor door.
