Lynette thanked us for our support at changeover and introduced theme, that the Club should have fun.  Lynette anticipates activities that we can all get involved with, provide service and hopefully one big fundraiser to put us on the map as far as the Community is concerned.  It is planned that we have events with other clubs too. 

 

Every week someone is to speak on a Rotary club elsewhere in the world. 

 

There is to be a Connect4 champion at end of year. 

 

Dave Johnson - thank you letter from Brass Band received for our assistance at Festival of Music and a thank you letter received from Starfish Social Services Trust for our help at Winter Solstice event.

Chloe spoke to us.  She has completed a Bachelor of Agri-Science majoring in Agriculture.  Works for Fonterra FarmSource in its Graduate Programme, currently in Agribusiness Service Team Placement.  A project of Chloe's involves how to bring young farmers through and pair with farmers exiting.  Chloe is also a Waikato BOP Federated Farmers delegate and Vice Chairwoman of Piarere Young Farmers Club.  Piarere Young Farmers Club has weekly meetings.  Members support each other.  Newbies are welcomed.  Diverse occupations amongst members.  Have had some involvement with Rural Support Trust and Federated Farmers.  The Club fundraises to give back to the Community.  Some meetings are "on farm yarns".  Age limit usually 15 to 31.

If your name is gazetted in the bulletin for duty, it is that members obligation to find a member replacement for that Club duty.
