Just another wonderful week in paradise. Apologies for some of the repeated information in this newsletter But just need to keep reminding of a few things.
Don't forget the upcoming visit by Rotary World President Gordan McInally on the 6th June.
For those of you who haven't registered yet to come and meet our International President Gordon McInally in Hamilton, I urge you to do so. This is an informal mix and mingle event with Gordon and Heather. It is to be held at the Novotel Tainui on Thursday 6th June (5pm till 7.30pm) - Must register.
This event has come from Gordon approaching DG Bill Robinson regarding a visit to New Zealand. This will be the first time a sitting International President has visited our district, so let's make them welcome. Partners are also most welcome to come along to hear Gordon and meet them both.

Our speaker last week was Nicole Oliver from Diamond Lab. Below is a brief outline of Nicole & Hamish's business. It was a fascinating presentation and the pieces that they bought along for us to look at, were just exquisite.

Thank you for the opportunity to speak to the Matamata Rotary group.
Diamond Lab is a new jewellery brand based in Matamata. We work with customers locally (in person) and nationwide (online) to turn their ideas and concepts into bespoke jewellery. We specialise in creating genuine lab diamond jewellery pieces, that are both luxurious and affordable, but also provide a range of other jewellery services.
We started the business after travelling in Europe in 2019, initially it was a lockdown project for ourselves, which grew into a business through ongoing requests by friends and family for engagement rings and wedding bands.
In founding Diamond Lab we saw an opportunity to give back to the community. To date, our jewellery has raised over $35,000 at charity auctions and we hope to support other charitable causes in the future.
Our new project “9 to 5”, is aimed to make quality everyday diamond jewellery more affordable. We plan to achieve this by using quality lab diamonds and 925 silver. We are currently developing three ranges: classic, rural / animal and equine. We hope to launch these ranges in the coming months and welcome any feedback, help or support.

Kind Regards
Nicole and Hamish
