A few things coming up to keep in mind:

  •
  • A big shout out reminder that it is District 9930 Conference in May this year.... right on our doorstep in Cambridge, so let's see if we can all go along and reap the benefits of a fantastic conference.
  •
  • I hope you have all been nurturing your spuds over the holiday season as the weigh in is coming up very soon. Looking forward to seeing a few bumper crops.
  •
  • Just a reminder that Stew is looking for helpers for the Hobbiton Hafling Marathon in March which we help with, so don't forget to put your name on the shunt sheet if you can help.
  •
  • See below. Simon Bridges coming to Matamata on 15th February. Need more info - see Maz McIvor.

Parting Thought

Don't cry over the past,
It's gone

Don't stress about the future,
It hasn't arrived yet

Live in the present and make it beautiful.

Happy 2024

From me to all of you😊

Hi everyone.

Well it has certainly been getting a little toastie out there! Hope everyone is keeping well hydrated and staying out of the heat of the day. Good time to become a Mexican I think and have a little siesta in the middle of the day....I wish!

We started the year with a lovely Bar-B-Que at the home of Wade and Brenda Linnell. What a relaxing setting under the shade of a beautiful big tree. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and it was wonderful to catch up with those who made it. Now lets look forward to a great year ahead.

I hope everyone has been nurturing their spud in a bucket over the holidays and we look forward to the weigh-in in March. I have already heard a few woeful tales of members spuds that have "failed to perform" so could be an interesting weigh-in.
