Apologies and      Bookings
To book dinner guests in or make an apology please call 083299789 before 9am Tuesday

 Members              Announcements
A few things coming up to keep in mind:
  • Please, please remember to put your apologies in before 9am on a Rotary day, this includes non diners please. We are still having trouble with a lot of members not apologising and just not showing up.
  • We are looking for a possible candidate for the upcoming RYLA camp. Applications must be in before the end of February. If you know of a possible candidate, please contact Max McIvor asap.
  • A big shout out reminder that it is our District 9930 Conference 17th -19th May this year.... right on our doorstep in Cambridge, so let's see if we can all go along and reap the benefits of a fantastic conference. You will all have received an email from our District Governor Bill Robinson outlining the details of the conference, so get your early-bird registration in now. Please get in touch with David Hulme if you are interested in going - even if you haven't decided for sure as yet, as he is trying to gage numbers.
  • Spud In A Bucket weigh-in on 5th March. Stew will be needing some helpers on the night so please add your name to the shunt sheet if you can help. I hope you have all been nurturing your spuds over the holiday season. Looking forward to seeing a few bumper crops.
  • Just a reminder that Stew is looking for helpers for the Hobbiton Hafling Marathon on 23rd March which we help with, so don't forget to put your name on the shunt sheet if you can help.
  • Please see below a "heads up" for an event coming soon. More info to come.
  •  Michelle Tanner is looking for interest to do a possible trip to Brisbane to our sister club Balliner on Richmond. Just trying to gauge interest at this time, so if you think you might be interested, please let Michelle know.
  • Just a note for everyone,  if you are listed on reception duty, please try and arrive early to help with setting up the table and signs etc.
  • Please, please remember to put your apologies in before 9am on a Rotary day, this includes non diners please.
  • Please remember that you must ring the club answer phone and apologize or advise of extra guests before 9am on any meeting date. Please stipulate the date you are apologizing for to avoid any confusion.
The lucky person to try and guess the Mystery Rotarian for next week is Kevin Kent.
Clues for the mystery Rotarian, are as follows –
  1. I spent the first five years of my life living in a Railway Station at Whakapara.
  2. My first experience of farming was owning a 10-acre block at Dairy Flat, north of Auckland
  3. I have recently played on Eden Park.
Good Luck Kevin!
Parting Thought
A person's most beautiful asset is not a head full of knowledge,
But a heart full of love,
An ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others.

This ones from me to all of you  😊
Some more working bee photos.
And then there was the headless man who did a heck of a lot of work.
Great team effort by all involved and sorry if I didn't get your photo 😊
Hi everyone.
No official Rotary meeting last week as it was our community Service night. A good team turned out to do some weeding and spreading of mulch at the Stanley Walkway. It was a very warm evening and certainly didn't take long to work up a sweat. Think we all could have done with a cold one at the end but were a bit too dusty and dirty to venture anywhere.
Great effort team   😊
Photos to come later in the Bulletin.
Below a message from Corolyn Stephenson from Rotary Te Aroha. Hopefully a few of the club members can get along for their Auction Night on Wednesday.
Details of the Te Aroha Rotary Club  auction are below...please let Corolyn know if you wish to attend.
It is that time of year again. We would like to wish you a great new year.
Added to this we are holding our auction on Wednesday February 28 at 6pm. We have always enjoyed joining with other clubs to participate in this with our auctioneer Kevin Deane.
If you have done some clearing out of some items and would like to bring them along for the auction we would welcome them as well as you.
The poster is self-explaining and please let us know numbers. We will be delighted to see you all again.
Kind regards
PS: I promise I will make several carrot cakes.
