Our very dapper President
Our 2021-22 Board of Directors
Welcome to the BBQ dinner held at the Fire Station in honour of our Club's first meeting back in 1947. Big thank you to Brian for organising this. Awesome to see so many wearing appropriate 1940's garb to celebrate this event in style. Great to have lots guests attending; Tom and Corolyn Stephenson-Te Aroha, Jean Muckle, Ineke Thissen, Dora Bruin, Pauline Stewart, Lisette Hulme, Ashley and baby Ava Allbright, Sonia Scott and Sandra Hunter.

President Presents...

After dinner Robert welcomed everyone to this celebration, stating it was to be a casual affair and for everyone to have fun.

Russell Alexander from Hobbiton popped in for a special request. Not only were volunteers required to help man the St John's tents but eight lucky individuals prepared to dress up would have to sit ALL day in the Green Dragon Inn. A collective groan (mainly from your Editor) was heard from all those attending District training that day.

Please could you book ASAP for the 75th Luncheon,
7th May and those that have booked ensure you have paid the $50.00 per head into the Admin Account.

David H and Sheryl have worked tirelessly on the
75th Anniversary book, it contains not just photos of our present and past Rotarians but many wonderful stories of the Club's history. The cost of this has exceeded original estimate however thanks to some sponsorship and David and Sheryl donating their time, this has helped keep costs down, tremendous value at $60.

Robert then announced he may have told a wee fib when saying nothing had been planned and asked David H to approach. David proceeded to recount "this person's" long history with Polio Plus and End Polio Now. He then called for Sandra Hunter to come up to be presented with... her 8th Sapphire Paul Harris Fellow pin for her financial contributions to our Foundation! Congratulations to a very hard-working and tireless supporter, who doesn't like the spotlight!
