  •    The lucky person to try and guess the Mystery Rotarian for the 28th May is Dave Johnson.
  •
Clues for the mystery Rotarian, are as follows –
  • 1) I broke my collarbone in my school’s high jump final.
    2) I have had dinner with Richie McCaw.
    3) My family exported raspberries.

Hi everyone

Well no meeting last week as some of us went and enjoyed the Musical Theatres production of the Little Mermaid. I must say that we have some very talented young performers out there who were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Well done to all who participated.

A great deal of outstanding work continues to be done on the dog park which is rapidly nearing completion. This has been quite an amazing task, led by Peter Vossen, and I am pretty sure that he will be more than pleased at how this project has come together. Thanks to all who have been able to help. I know how appreciative many of the towns dog owners are to have this facility and how grateful they are to Rotary for making it happen.

Great entranceway

Some of the team ready to tackle whatever is required

One of our members who just happens to be a lawyer, was given quite a hard time for showing up with pristinely clean gumboots, of which he justifiably explained that the reason for their sparkle, was because he had been working at the Kauri Grove, where all footwear had to be well cleaned to avoid any risk of spreading Kauri Die Back. Looks like he is going to have to give them a good scrub again. Good on you David Parker.

Handy to have some tractor help

And a lot of man (and girl) power

Even had a visit from Mayor Adrienne checking up on us.

And isn't that one happy bunch of Rotarians and a job well done.

Great Work Team!!!

Don't forget the upcoming visit by Rotary World President Gordan McInally on the 6th June.

For those of you who haven't registered yet to come and meet our International President Gordon McInally in Hamilton, I urge you to do so. This is an informal mix and mingle event with Gordon and Heather. It is to be held at the Novotel Tainui on Thursday 6th June (5pm till 7.30pm) - Must register.
This event has come from Gordon approaching DG Bill Robinson regarding a visit to New Zealand. This will be the first time a sitting International President has visited our district, so let's make them welcome. Partners are also most welcome to come along to hear Gordon and meet them both.
