Eric asked again if Rotary could help clean up Rotary widow Joyce Cowley's garden. He felt if enough turned up on a Saturday morning if could be sorted quickly.
Peter V advised Lincoln students hosting would be proceeding 29/30 August, approximately 40-45 would need beds. He would send a shunt sheet around next week.
A sheet would also go around for "Guess Who is Coming to Dinner" Friday 26th or Saturday 27th August.
David H touched on the honour for our Club with two awards won at District Changeover luncheon. Acknowledging that he couldn't have done it by himself and grateful for all the help he received.
Parting Thought

David P gave us two tonight:

"If you take the team out of teamwork, it's just work. Now who wants that?"
Matthew Woodring Stover

And from Martin Luther King, Jr
"We may have all come on different ships, but we're all in the same boat now!"

So not quite my last Bulletin, tonight was Club night and was run by stand-ins... past President Robert as Alice was poorly, Corporal Wade got to practice for his year as Serjeant and Maz took notes again... we'll let Sheryl off as she's going to be a Nana and has more important things to do. As was said at District Changeover.... family first, work next and then Rotary.
It was great to Mike Steiner back after his health scare, he spoke again of how taking his Rotary aspirin potentially saved his life.

It was noted that the big screen had "Max McIvor" winning Bulletin Editor award.... ah the irony.

Robert prompted members to consider going to Jennifer Jones RI Convention in Melbourne 2023, 27-31 May. Hotel rooms have been held $100 deposit required now.

PS From the Editor

Robert took advantage of his new role and was very relaxed... threw out a few 'Dad" jokes. He heard recently that manure was really good on rhubarb... but he preferred custard!

In Sweden the CEO of IKEA was just elected president. He should have his cabinet together by the end of the week.

There was a collective groan....
