Lots of things coming up so lets have a look:

  • Peter Vossen  is in need of some helpers to do some weeding and spread mulch this Saturday 24th September at 9am at the Stanley Walkway. Don''t forget your Hi-Vis Vest!!!
  • Stew Wadey has the wheels well and truly in motion for the Spud In A Bucket and we would love to think that all members would commit to taking at least 2 buckets each. All the buckets are filled and ready to go .
  • Stew is also looking for 8-10 helpers to assist with parking at the A&P Show on 1st October from 8am to 1pm. A shunt sheet will be going around so please help if you can.
  • Gin Tasting evening coming up on the 25th October.
  • Still 75th Anniversary books available.

I know we haven't seem much of Michelle Tanner lately but she has been flat tack busy doing great work for Polio and Rotary Give Every Child A Future. Last week she was in Auckland at a RGECAF / UNICEF meeting promoting partnerships with IT and Comms businesses. She will also be presenting to Rotaract Oceania on RGECAF.
One very busy lady. Thanks Michelle for all your hard work.

Realized I had to use the bathroom.
Got up and walked across the house to the pantry.
Couldn't remember why I was in the pantry.
Remembered I had to use the bathroom.

Hi there everyone

Well for those of you who were unable to take the trip visit to Adrian Worsley's gallery in Te Aroha on Tuesday night, you missed out on a real treat.

This is one extremely talented but down to earth bloke!

Adrian welcomed us to his little slice of paradise and then allowed us to meander throughout his maze of .......stuff! He is the creator of our wonderful horse in the centre of Matamata, and this majestic piece took him  2 1/2 years to create. He even divulged that to get the right look for the jockey, he had Lance O'Sullivan riding a bag of cement while he took photos so that he could get the right lines which makes it look so realistic.

All of the members had a great evening and were gob-smacked by his amazing sculptures and the scale of his workshop.

I think the easiest way is to let the photos speak for themselves.

Adrian Worsley - extremely talented and all round good bloke!
