President Wade and his team for 2024/25
Kia ora folks, as it was a Club night and we were fundraising for ROMAC, the schedule was amended accordingly. Also on tonight's agenda we were presenting Rose Carnachan with a cheque for Project Play, so a big welcome  to Rose and Caron from the Scene newspaper. Along with the lovely Karla Leadbetter for another visit.

Below: Rose looking very chuffed at the $25,000 donation

PARTING THOUGHT
Quote from the late Pope Francis

The only thing ever achieved in life without effort is failure
........thanks Peter V

ROMAC fundraiser
we raised $305.00 from a raffle, with a $100 Redoubt voucher as the prize -  congratulations Peter V! If anyone who didn't attend on the night wishes to contribute please let Maz or Treasurer David G know. The challenge was put to the three teams of six: put on gloves, tie on a wrap, step through a hoop three times, cut a chunk of pineapple and then putt a ping pong ball into a designated circle, then back to the next player. This was to test agility, surgical skills and hand/eye co-ordination. Judging by the state of the pineapple at the end I can guarantee we have no potential surgeons in our midst!

ROMAC Champion Maz cheering on the teams ready for their first challenge... Ready....Set...

Jacky (L) and Karla (R) neck and neck... Stew struggling a tad... 2 left gloves were mentioned??

Later we had hoola hoop on display with various members showing their expertise (or not) President Wade in fine form, however, not sure what President Elect Stew (R) is up to...
but check out the form from the two in the background.... very stylish!
Go!!...

Two seasoned Rotarians up next, Michelle getting the edge on Leonie. However Leonie's team (RHS) were the eventual winners!
