  • The lucky person to try and guess the Mystery Rotarian next week is Mike Steiner.
  •
    Clues for the mystery Rotarian, are as follows –

    1/ I once inadvertently drove a car at 217km per hour on a public road
    2/ My father was aide-de-camp to a New Zealand Governor General
    3/ Our family once owned a house cow named Daisy

    Good luck with these clues Mike. Sounds pretty tricky to me.

Parting Thought

A person's most beautiful asset is not a head full of knowledge,
But a heart full of Love,
A ear ready to listen
And a hand willing to help others.

This ones from me lovely people  ðŸ˜Š

Hi everyone

Hope you have all been having a fantastic week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few of our members went over to support the Morrinsville Auction night on Monday, so I hope they managed to have a bit of a splurge and bag a few goodies.
A good turnout on Tuesday night with work being undertaken at the Dog Park and the Kahikatea Grove. I was away on Nana duty, but Jane has kindly given me the following run down.
We had a small but very efficient group turn up for the working bee at the dog park and Kahikatea Grove on Tuesday night.
Special thanks to Janelle Burnside (prospective new member) who came along to help and did a great job on the gardens.
Thanks also to Peter Vossen, David Hulme, Kevin Kent, Kevin Sing, Merv King, Stew Wadey, Robbie Pearson, Owen Westlake, Brian Hunter, and Roisin McQuillan, who gave their time to weed gardens or shovel, spread and rake the soil around the dog park shelter.
I turned up and heard a voice from the middle of the garden….here was Merv King on his knees weeding below the tree canopy….what a legend.
We had a local lady come across and say thank you for the work we were doing.
We managed to tidy four ends of the gardens and will look to do another working bee at the grove 27th April to tidy the gardens in preparation for the President’s visit June 5th.
Kaimai Services are going to drop mulch there for us to spread.
Peter Vossen and his team are doing a great job on the shelter, so if you have not been and had a look, please do so.
Thanks Peter.
Foundation Committee
When District  Foundation Chair Ken Smith addressed our Club not that long ago, he explained how Foundation Giving; funds the extensive humanitarian aid projects around the world.
Also he highlighted our investment into the Endowment Fund, was just on $100 this Rotary Term. As the Endowment fund, is the fund that we apply to; for District Grants for projects we would like to accomplish. Foundation Committee will suggest to Directors, that a deposit be made from our Club into the Endowment fund.
