President Presents...
Robert greeted all who could attend the 5pm Zoom meeting.
Last Tuesday the Club went to the MVS tour at the Equine hospital, this was well attended and proved very informative. Whilst we had been told about many of the services and equipment, it was great to then see it in situ.
Volunteers are required for the Special Olympics being held in Hamilton 8-12th December 2021. The National Summer Games need 600 helpers and Robert asked for a show of hands to indicate interest.
Rotary South Canterbury club are keen to do a friendship exchange with Matamata, and sometime from 6-22 March 2022 they would like to visit and a 3 day tour be organised.
Interact are doing their quiz/auction evening 21 October and have asked if we could help with 6-8 gifts. Funds raised are for Give Every Child A Future.

Peter V: Lincoln students visit. Cancelled and not rescheduled.
Sheryl advised same applies to Daffodil Day collecting. However donations can be made online, unfortunately there is now a surplus of daffs so some ideas for these would be good. Someone suggested selling them to businesses around town... this will depend on when they can reopen.
Peter V gave an update on the proposed dog park. Council are currently assessing the site which can be accessed off Peria Road, near Stanley walkway and the Rotary Kahikatea Grove.
With sadness we said farewell to Chris Webb who has sold house and is moving to Katikati along with his wife Jenny. They will be sorely missed as we have enjoyed Chris's willingness to participate and his comradery. Best of luck and hope you stick with Rotary!!
