Parting Thought
I Love kind people,
because kindness is intentional.
When someone goes out of their way to do something for someone else,
When they are generous,
When they are giving of their time and resources,
A listening ear,
A shoulder to cry on,
A conversation at the right time, for the right person,
Those acts can change everything.
So when I notice that, I also see the person behind the kindness,
And I instantly become thankful,
Because people like that help make this world more beautiful.
Hey everyone
Apologies for the short newsletter this week as the clubrunner software has been arguing with me all day.
So our Melbourne Cup night was a bit of a fun affair with a fair bit of serious observation and a lot of hoot and hollah to help get the horses across the line. With a portion of the takings and several of those who made a collect donating their proceeds back, we made over $300.00 that will be given to Rotary Foundation. What a great effort.
Kevin Sing looking very serious in his Racing Hat!
Some Happy winners

Michelle Tanner - dressed in her racing finery, gave us a brief rundown of her time at the Zone Conference in Canberra at which there were over 500 participants. Michelle spoke to the conference about Give Every Child a Future which was received enthusiastically. She also met some members of our sister club Ballina.
Michelle encouraged us all to sign up and attend the the upcoming Rotary Conference in Melbourne next year as with the speakers they have lined up, it will be awesome !!!
