Glenys briefly gave an overview of her involvement in the NZ Rotary District 9930 commitment to ROMAC. Her visual on screen presentation was comprehensive of what has been achieved by the two and a half decades to date of generous volunteered time of surgeons and administrators, to the honourable aims of ROMAC. We saw the skilled medical intervention to change children's future lives for the good, of our many neighbouring Pacific Island communities that cannot be facilitated other than in NZ or AU. Unfortunately we were also made aware that some children have advanced medical conditions that cannot be helped, one such condition is damage to heart valves by rheumatic fever. This condition needs to addressed at a very very young age, an older child invariably has developed other medical complications that are unable to be successfully treated. Most ROMAC patients are treated at Star Ship Hospital, Auckland. Funds donated to ROMAC through clubs is diminishing significantly, of the 54 clubs in district 9930 ONLY 8 donated last Rotary term!!! Although not  Rotary affiliated, Glenys acknowledged InterPlast for the very good work they do in the Pacific region. Glenys certainly matched the CV introduction by David Gasquione, with Dave Wheadon thanking Glenys for a very informative presentation which included her quote" ROMAC truly changes lives".
