The depth of our leadership being well shown, as Glenda Milligan presided this meeting. Such was the cordial atmosphere of a very well attended gathering that with lots of conversational engagement, several ding dongs required to bring the meeting to order. Glenda explained the format of this Video presentation evening by Fred Barrett, which was our meal; few essential member announcements and then the presentation.
Guest Speaker, our fellow Rotarian Fred Barrett
Murray Wills introduced Fred to the meeting, with  dictionary references to the word intrepid . Which really matched the persona characteristic's we know for this Guy.
Fred's video presentation was on his visit to North Korea, as part of a small group allowed to visit there. He first explained the geographical aspects of the Korean Peninsular, how the 38th Parallel became the division for North and South Korea. Touched on his observations of the economy of North Korea, its large military plus some historical significance. Cuisine made available was a bit canine!, 5 star hotels with the plumbing and guest amenities rather unique; including dining by candle light. He spoke on his observation opinion regards population peerage, in that the bottom tier really have a challenge. Fred suggested they have a doctrine of allegiance, that we may have difficulty to comprehend. As always, Fred's video presentations are very informative and enlightening. Bryce Scott's summation WOW! was really spot on for this presentation.
