The Stanley Farm Lane formally opened by Lesley Stanley and Leoni Tisch
The weather turned out quite pleasant ,for the opening formalities. 
President Peter Vossen, formally welcomed Ngati Hinerangi Kaumatua Casey Douglas, Kuia and fellow Hapu wahine who had just presented an opening Karakia with a supporting Waiata , dignitaries , members of our community and Rotarians . Peter covered some history of public access walkways around Matamata, past and present, made comment on the Commemorative Rotary Grove and then gave an overview of the formalities soon to follow. Stephen Stanley spoke on behalf of the Stanley Family, Matamata -Piako Distrct Council Matamata Ward Councillor Brian Hunter spoke on behalf of Council and Rotary District 9930 Governor Leonie Tisch completed the opening informative speeches.
Soon followed by the short ceremony of cutting the pink ribbon and Lesley Stanley and Leoni Tisch, then leading the 77 adult plus children to the half way point for a symbolic tree planting of 4 New Zealand native trees.

After brief formalities of 4 tree planting, Led the way to the Dawson Street end of the now completed walkway, that was supported so tremendously by Matamata District businesses. A lot more tree plantings will occur in the autumn.

Tight schedule to organise visits to geographically close Rotary Clubs, so  to personally promote the Concert by the Lake. Morrinsville, Otorohanga,Paeroa, Putaruru, Waikato Sunrise, Rotorua, Rotorua North, Rotorua lakes, Rotorua Sunrise, Te Aroha, Te Awamutu, Tokoroa, Fairfield, Cambridge, Frankton /Te Rapa, Hamilton, Hamilton East. Henry has some club visits already covered, but support with help with some  club visits would be appreciated. Please contact Henry 027 2794 284. The actual promotion presentation would not take very long time wise, but I am sure a spiel sheet to read from can be arranged, and I am sure questions of enquiry will be easy to reply to.
