Hello everyone, as President elect Lynette Stanley opened the meeting. President David unable to attend , due to shingles in one eye (ouch!). Good to see a good turn out for our half year assembly. Condolence to David & Lisette Hulme, David's mother passed away. No farm watch report, but John Price said there were puddles every where ! As to where things are at work, pouring foundations this week, still heading for a mid March completion. Lynette reminded us it is the 331st day of the year, plus some moments in history for this day.

Advice from financial statement professional independent reviewers, That members who present monies to Rotary Matamata , must make sure that they direct those funds to the proper account to which they are to be deposited. MOST important that monies for the Charitable Account must be deposited accurately into that account. We have been advised to be aware of that important aspect for Inland Revenue requirements. That the 2017/2018 Financial Statements be adopted. Agreed

Shingles. Richard Metcalfe did a brief survey of members , many have not had a shingles vaccination. For over 65's free, or approx. $200. only one vaccination required. Richard briefly outlined the pathology on nerve tissue, and that vaccination is a reccomended wellness consideration. Shingles is not nice., ask anyone who has shingles break out on their body.
